Greta Thunberg: Nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize

She is an amazing young girl, we need more like her. She has definitely inspired me to be more environmentally aware and raise kids that are thinking about this crisis as well.

“The one thing we need more than hope, is action”.

Watch her TED talk below with your kids, tell them about why it’s important for us to help improve the environment. She has definitely inspired me with her very direct way of communicating the urgency. I am sure we want to leave a healthy, stable world behind for our kids, it won’t be possible if we leave behind a burning pile of trash for them to clean up and fix.

Have you thought about what our world would look like in 100 years? 1000 years? Most people respond with a shrug because someone else will fix it or maybe they are just in denial.

Educate yourself about this crisis and talk to your kids about what kind of world they think it would be in 50 years, 100 years and so on. It’s important that we parents not just think about our children but also about the children of their children.
