My week from 6-12th May 2019

In the last week I worked on many things and had a lot of fun as well. We went to the cinema to watch Avengers Endgame. We also did the 15th week of this kids learning group, we had discussed and learnt about how we can fix homelessness and what homelessness is. We also did a bit of hands-on work with wood and drilling as learning how to use a drill is necessary. The last thing we did in the 15th of these sessions is the discuss and learn about “What if the Sun dissapeared for a month?”. So in this blog I’m going to elaborate on each of the things that we did in the last week.

Saturday sessions:

In this week’s Saturday session we talked about how we can fix homelessness. We all went up to the front and made a 2 minute presentation on what we can do to prevent homelessness. We all had great ideas on how it can be stopped. I also have begun to feel a bit more confidence when going up in front of everyone, although, there is always room for improvement and I’m ready to make more progress towards it.

The next thing we did in our Saturday sessions was something more hands-on (no pun intended). We looked at how to use a drill with wood, the things that we learnt includes how to drill nails and also how to screw and unscrew things into the wood. Here are two videos of us working with the drill in this Saturday session.

The last thing that we talked about was “What would happen if the sun dissapeared for one month?”. Here is the video that we watched. I really liked this video because of the fact that the topic was so random and yet the response to the question was completely practical.

Avengers Endgame:

After the work that we did in the Saturday session, I to the cinema to watch Endgame with Anaya and Alamgir. It was the longest, most intense movie I had ever seen. It was action-packed, comedic and very sad in some of the scenes. It was an emotional rollercoaster of a movie and I had a really good time with my friends. (That’s right, no spoilers)

NAPLAN practice:

One of the last things was practice for the upcoming NAPLAN that we would be tested for the following week. Everyday, I did a different practice test so I could be ready for whatever was coming.

Over the past week that has been the most exciting, fun and relevant things I have done
