Is the Olympics a wastage of money or not?
The Olympics are not a wastage of money. The cities they are held in are modernised. People who have a talent in sports can show it during the Olympics. It is a chance for people to get together and cheer for their favourite country or player.
The city which holds the Olympics is built up and modernised to keep it up to standard as it is a chance for the country/city to shine. People from all over the world come to watch the Olympics which helps the country’s economy and tourism. If the city isn’t modernised and is in a poor state the visitor won’t plan on staying very long because of the living conditions.
The Olympics gives talented people a chance to shine on an international level and make their country proud. Unlike soccer, hockey or cricket most of the Olympic games don’t have events of this magnitude.
This event is a chance for people to meet, have fun and enjoy sports together. It brings people together from all over the world. People from all walks of life come together to watch this once every 4 years event. It is an honour for the players to represent their country.
I would say that the Olympics is a great event which brings countries together and participants from all over the world become ambassadors of peace and pride for their native countries.
