My Life as a Book

My Life as a Book

“Aarrrgh” I screamed as a young boy about the age of 9 picked me up. “Put me down!”
But I knew the boy couldn’t hear me. I had been in this library for years and no one had ever heard me. But this library was 14 years old.
It was made in the year 2005 actually it was made in the year 1992 but got destroyed and rebuilt.
When the boy took me home he started reading me. I was so surprised.
Most of the time little girls and boys would take me home only to throw me in their drawer until the dreaded 2 weeks (of their borrowing time)th was over.
I am a book written by Roald Dahl and published by Puffin. I am about a girl (named Matilda) whose parents aren’t nice to her but she is mega smart and her favorite teacher (who is Miss Honey) teaches her and realises the powers Matilda has.
The boy (who I later learnt was named Edward) read a chapter a day and soon he had finished reading me. I could tell he was sad to see me go but his 2 week limit was finished as he grew up he read me again and again and he always said “you’re my favorite book” and he’s my favorite human.

The End
