Drawing classes- furthering my progression

My classes have been going really good so far, it’s my second week in and I can already see the difference in my skill and I want to talk about it.

Shading…

The progression in my shading isn’t seen directly however the progression is mental. The teacher got me to do shading in a grid of boxes using dots, dashes, commas and plus and minus signs. It taught me patience and taking things slow in order to make things as best quality as possible.

Strokes- a major difference

Strokes were the next thing we worked on. They were drastically different from what I had done in the first class, I didn’t think they would be so different. Just after a week!

My progression throughout my classes has been really good. I can’t wait for my next class!
